Game Updates 2011 Lux Loses Pitchers Duel to Buzz Despite and outstanding pitching performance by junior Danny Larson, Lux lost a close 0ne to the SBA Buzz 3-1 tonight at Bellevue College. Larsen went the distance for the third time this season allowing 1 earned run. The LB offense showed signs of life in the bottom of the 6th when Adam Jorgensen hit a line drive double to right center. Blake Wilson capitalized on the Jorgensen double by hammering a 0-1 single to right to plate Lux' only run. Lux Beats Lakeside 9-8 in Non League Play Lux visited Lakeside Industries today at Bannerwood Park and amidst the rain came away with a 9-8 victory. Austin Johnson hit his 3rd home run of the summer. Clutch pitching at key time proved to be the difference in this one. LB takes on the Buzz Wednesday at BCC Lux Wins 2nd Straight in League Play Trevor Dubois battled for 5 1/3 innings against a big swinging Seattle Dodgers lineup this evening, allowing 3 H and 2 ER while striking out 5 before handing the ball off to reliever Blake Wilson. Wilson slammed the door on the dodgers in the 6th & 7th, striking out the final two Dodgers hitters & maintaining at 7th inning 3-3 tie. Hutton Moyer got the call to pinch hit to lead off the bottom of the 7th and delivered with a line drive single to right field. Connor Savage executed a perfect Sac Bunt to move the runner into scoring position. A Wilson ground ball to the right side of the infield and an intentional walk to Austin Johnson set the table for clean up hitter Patrick Bernard who ripped a base hit into right to score the game winner in the Lux 4-3 victory over the Dodgers. Larson Leads Lux over Taylor Lux Baseball won its second league game last night by beating Taylor Baseball 5-3. Junior Danny Larson was once again outstanding on the hill throwing his second Complete Game in as many outings. Blake Wilson's RBI triple and Hutton Moyer's RBI single along with Ben Roquet's amazing snag in the middle proved to be the difference makers in the Lux victory. Lux Splits Memorial Day. The Lux18 club won a pair & lost a pair over the Memorial Day weekend. The 18's took it to Wilkinson 11-1 on Friday with Blake Wilson hitting a double, triple and a 2 run homer on the day. Lux also beat FCA with a 5-0 on Saturday. Lux Defends - Beats Brewers. The Lux defense was in full effect tonight as the club earned its second consecutive win against a very talented RIPS Brewers team by a score of 3-2. Danny Larson took the hill for the black & green scattering 8 hits over 7 innings while striking out 3 with only 2 walks. Larson worked quickly and efficiently throwing 86 pitches on the evening, retiring the final 9 Brewer batters in order. Lux pounded 9 hits, none more timely than the ground ball triple down the right field line by Tylor Klep in the bottom of the 4th innings plating Lux' first run. Klep then scored on a deep sacrifice fly to right field by Blake Wilson on the next at bat. Lux' final run came in the 5th inning when Connor Savage single home courtesy runner Nick Anthony from second base. Savage, Wilson, Klep & Keenan Miller all had multiple hit games for Lux.
Game Updates 2010 Lux 18's Win 3-1 over Taylor Taylor jumped out to an early 1-0 lead scoring their only run of the game in the 1st inning on a pair of hit batters and a single. Lux starting pitcher Wesley Russell settled in and went on to throw the best game of his Lux season. Russell spread out 8 hits over 7 innings of stunning work, only throwing 80 pitches in a Complete Game effort. Russell benefited by 3 perfectly executed double plays and a triple play in the 4th. Offensively, Lux responded to Taylor's tally with a run in the 2nd plating Cody Zambrano on an Andrew Brakke single. Brakke continued to lead Lux scoring in the 5th on a Blake Wilson single. Brakke finished off the night by driving in catcher Joe Lucia in the 6th for the final Lux run. Lux Opens Firecracker with a Bang The Lux offense exploded with 6 runs in the 1st inning against the hurricanes in their first game of the Kent Memorial Firecracker Tournament. Lux continued the effort by plating 3 more in the 2nd and two more in the 4th inning. Alex Morrow, Wesley Russell and Tyler Duringer combined to hold the Hurricanes to 2 hits on 0 runs in 5 innings. A solid team effort with 4 different Lux hitters knocking in runs. Lux 11 Hurricanes 0 Lux Takes Game 2 Lux Baseball took on Reality Sports in the second game of the Kent Firecracker Tounrament tonight at Kent Memorial Park. The Lux offense exploded in the 3rd scoring 6 runs on 4 hits includng a 2 RBI single by Craig Jacobson and a 2 RBI double by Sean Barlow. Lux scored in each of the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to put the game away. Jacobson was 2-2 and Blake Wilson was 3-3 with a pair of doubles. Taylor Nips Lux in 7th Jake Reppert threw a super 6 innings vs Taylor in league play only to watch the 6-3 lead disappear in the 7th. A disappointing loss for Lux who is managing 5 starters down with injury. Lux opens the 4th of July Tourney this week Lux Blanks Seattle Select Lux pitchers Jake Reppert and Cameron Bartok combined for a 1 hit shutout against Seattle Select last night at Shorecrest High. Reppert was extremely sharp, striking out four while only walking one in three innings worth of work. Bartok looked very strong in the remaining four innings, punching out three and putting up a 0 in the hit column. The Lux offense struck early and often scoring runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings. Cody Zambrano had a break through performance going 3-3 on the day with two singles, double, 2 RBI and a run scored. Three other Lux Hitters had multiple base hits including Marc Dickerson who was 3-4 with a single, double and a home run. Five different Lux players Contributed to the RBI column in this
contest. Tylor Klep was 2-2 on the day with an RBI triple in
the first and a single in the third. Cameron Bartok went 1-2 with
a double, run scored and a RBI. Robert Ward started on the bump
and was relieved by Ty Duringer. Wesley Russell was handed the
ball late in the fourth and received the win. Lux won 5-4. Lux Beats Couer d'Alene

Lux starter Alex Morrow came out "guns blazing" allowing 2 hits and
no runs in his 28 pitch-3 inning performance in game 2 of the WSU tourny.
Lux plated one run in the first on a Cameron Bartok single that
scored Marc Dickerson from second. Lux Drops Game 1 in Palouse A tough draw had Lux Baseball paired with the Seattle Stars in game 1 of the WSU Classic. Jake Reppert got the start in the inaugural night game at MacDonald Park in Colfax. Reppert threw well, holding a powerful offense to 7 hits and three earned runs in 7 innings worth of work. The Lux offense started strong scoring three runs in the first two innings. Craig Jacobson was 1-3 with three runs scored and Marc Dickerson was 3-4 with a single, double, HR, and batted in three out of four of the Lux runs. Down 5-3 in the bottom of the 7th, Lux began to rally. Jacoby reached on a walk allowing big Marc Dickerson to drive him in with a line drive double. With a runner on second and one out, Lux failed to plate the tying run. Lux lost 5-4
Reppert Notches W over Narrows in Make Up Jake Reppert threw 2 scoreless innings in a continuation game with Narrows this afternoon and got his 2nd win of the year. Tied 2-2 previously Lux went to the big lefty to hold Narrows in check. Lux was able to score in the 7th when Tylor Klep earned a a bases loaded walk to give LB the 3-2 victory. Lux Bats Explode in 11-2 Win over Dodgers Lux bats started off hot in the second game of the double header vs the Seattle Dodgers today at B.C.C. 7 Lux players recorded hits including Scott Meyers who went 2-3 with his 2nd home run of the day. Craig Jacobson, Marc Dickerson, Tylor Klep and Cody Zambrano all had extra base hits. Shay Orestad threw 6 solid innings of 2-hit baseball striking out 5 on the way to his first win of the season. Alex Morrow closed out the game striking out the final dodger hitter to secure Lux's first league win. Dodgers S Gifted 8-7 Extra Inning Win over LB Three errors proved fatal for Lux Baseball in the DH opener this afternoon vs the Dodgers. It took 8 innings to decide with the Dodgers coming out on top. Scott Meyers had a double and a homer in the loss. Lux Baden Suffer Rain Delay after 4th tied 0-0 Trying to get a game in for the Lux 18 squad proven nearly impossible. Lux and Baden finished 4 innings tied at zero tonight before the game was called because of rain. Lux starter Jake Reppert matched Baden's right hander in what was shaping up as a pitchers dual. Lux 18's Scrap with Narrows Ends 2-2 Lux and Narrows met Friday at B.C.C in league play. Robert Ward got the start on the bump and pitched a solid 4 1/3 allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out a pair. Cameron Bartock came in relief and struck out 2 before the rains delayed play. Offensively Lux Marc Dickerson was 1-2 with a pair of stolen bases and 2 runs scored. Scott Meyers was 2-3 with a single & a triple and a pair of RBI. Sean Barlow and Wesley Russell each doubled for LB. Lux Hurlers Shut Out Wilkinson 2-0 Starting pitcher Jake Reppert looked strong and confident in his 2010 Lux debut against Wilkinson Baseball Academy on Wednesday night. Reppert logged four innings of work while striking out five allowing only 1 Wilkinson hit. Wesley Russell continued the effort in the 5th and 6th, allowing 1 hit and 0 ER. Robert Ward retired the side in order in the 7th to earn his first Save of the year. The Lux offense was highlighted by 6 different players getting base hits in the contest including Cameron Bartock's line drive triple. the web gem of the day came late in the game when 2nd baseman Tylor Klep snagged a 'would be' RBI line drive single to preserve the first shut out of the season. Lux moves to 1-1 on the year.
